So, the Crone got it wrong. Joan Rivers last night became the Celebrity Apprentice, leaving Annie Duke in the dust. The Crone can’t claim to have watched every minute of the three hour show but really, it did seem to her that Annie had a claim to the title. She outstripped Joan’s finale fundraising by 300%, and it’s true that she was consistently more professional in the boardroom; certainly her gamesmanship was worldclass. Perhaps the Donald felt that he couldn’t reward two connivers and hardhearts in a row ( the Crone is not a fan of last year’s victor, Piers Morgan) or perhaps he just liked Ms Rivers more than the Queen of the River, Turn and Blind. Anyhow, you go Joan–you played your hand well.
The Crone is also forced to eat crow on the subject of U.N. Pleasant whose small store managed to beat out its new and flashy competitor when it came to meeting the Crone’s weekend hardware needs. Mr Pleasant had also managed to muster a bright and breezy new member of staff, all smiles and ponytail, and so wins points for excellence of attitude as well as his well-stocked shelves.
