Beauty on the walk to work: Washington DC

The Crone lives right at the heart of the Nation’s Capital and so never has to tangle with beltway traffic. Instead, she walks to work and it takes just 20 minutes. Some days she feels more positive about both the walk and the destination than others, but, on a day like today, it feels pretty good–and there is much to marvel at along the way. Ok, so it’s a bit old ladyish to write about flowers and take pictures, but I defy you to look at these and not feel a little brighter. The Crone in her next life will be a Flag Iris.

bloody hell….last I knew we were walking on 18th and you told me to bugger off because you wanted to shoot fleurs….and here they are.

The grass, never mind, the flowers, doesn’t stand a chance…………
