Young People Today–So Clever

Enjoy these videos, the first from Scottish Susan’s son Rory–a very knowing spoof of the soupy films television producers make to make sure talent shows like American Idol and Britain’s Got Talent last an hour. Rory, of course, is too cool to actually apply for Britain’s Got Talent although it appears he may have quite enough talent to be a comedy writer.

The second video was made a couple of years ago by the Crone’s nephew and his friends in Yorkshire and manages to capture the yearning for a different life that is part of being a teenager, while still showing an affection for life in a West Yorkshire small town.

The Crone, despite all those years working in television, could not begin to make anything so original or amusing. She looks forward to watching the awards programs when Rory picks up his BAFTA and to being kept by Joe when he is a global marketing executive.
