Looters and Vandals strike Appleton Marsh

Dear Doris,

I was so sorry to hear about the damage to the plate glass window at Doris Brazil Ladies Wear. I know Don has been disgruntled since he lost his job at Modern Man and of course looking after Margaret must be a strain, but who knew he had such rage? Such bitterness?

Still, I expect they have capacity in the holding cells at Cheriton Bishop and perhaps the break from the Orangery will do him good.

Nice of you to equip Flo with a pair of those industrial gloves from the Slav Heroes of Toil collection–some of those shards can be very sharp.

Hope this disruption doesn’t affect late summer sales…Blabs

  1. Tempers were frayed and everyone said silly things. In the end Don only scratched the window of DBLW and I accept he didn’t mean to. It was his Apache Indian belt buckle that did the damage. Modern Man was Don’s life and I can only put it down to some sort of post-traumatic stress following the closing down sale. Anyway it doesn’t excuse in any way the rampage that followed but thank you for your concern, Blabs. Everyone here is fine.
