Hey Dukies, I did good.

This post is written primarily for my fellow inmates at Duke Diet and Fitness center. Everyone else is welcome to read on of course, but if you are the sort of person who routinely loses weight just by upping the reps with your Revlon Rosebud  or cutting back on butter on your baked potato, then please refrain from sharing the details with the rest of us.

I have now been home a month following the four weeks I spent at fat camp. So far, I have lost 24 lbs–13 while I was there, and 11 since. I have stayed off the salt, had only two glasses of wine in 8 weeks, and eaten an awful lot of beans. I have done well with swimming, spending an hour in the water at least four times a week. I have not done so well with walking, but I have managed at least an hour a week. I am moving around more generally. I have signed up for aqua zumba starting in a couple of weeks.

When I lose another 12 lbs, I will be the same weight as I was when I came to the U.S. in 2000. That, in turn, was the lightest I had been for a couple of years before that. So 12lbs lighter–that’s the next goal. I hope you all are doing good too and look forward to hearing your reports
