IMG_2389I couldn’t believe my luck. The butcher was telling me why he no longer bothered with a stall at the weekend market. “Just couldn’t make both ends meet”.  He said it. He honestly said it. A real live butcher. I guffawed and didn’t ask him to use the bacon slicer in case he got a little behind with his orders. I am now keeping my eyes open for a farmer who is  outstanding in his own field.
