Sinamay and Stripograms. The Crone gears up for wedding season.

sinamay3I am in the market for a new hat. Tom and Mike have provided the excuse, for they are getting married in the spring. I am thinking of something in sinamay and am shopping ebay for something rather more Downton Abbey than duncher (a fine Belfast word for a cloth cap). A wide brim will be essential, together with an artful combination of flowers, feathers and ribbon. I am not going to stint.

Spud Hughes is planning a trip to the United States around Easter (Bonnet season. Perhapssinamay2 (2) I really need two hats? ) and was disappointed to learn that this trip will not coincide with the nuptials. “Never mind” I told him “You can arrange the stag do” (A stag do is the name for a bachelor party in Britain and Ireland). Spud is on the case. He is trying to secure the services of Prince Harry as a stripogram. Shouldn’t be too difficult. Both grooms will be highly appreciative I am sure.
